Tena koutou katoa.

Moana Eruera is of Ngapuhi descent and has more than 20 years experience in the social and community work sectors in a range of roles including; social work practitioner, supervisor, educator and consultant.  She has worked in a variety of practice contexts, beginning in statutory work and then moving into community and iwi social services.  Having returned home to Tai Tokerau she is currently in private practice supporting Social Services providers and practitioners.  She completed a Masters Degree exploring supervision for kaimahi Māori and is passionate about the development of processes which support and enhance the wellbeing of kaimahi working in social services.  More recently Moana has been working with the Amokura family violence prevention consortium on professional development and research projects and is committed to 'oranga' strategies grounded in Māori values and cultural practices.

Her working career has been spent in the social services sector committed to issues of social justice, human rights and the development of Māori and indigenous people.
